What criteria does Consulting Group use to rate investment managers?
Many investors judge management firms based solely on past performance — which frequently is no guide to future results. Consulting Group believes investors should look at a number of factors — such as personnel, research capabilities, the firm’s investment process and its business operations. Our ratings are based on five such qualitative factors, as well as two “composite” factors designed to test the accuracy and comparability of the firm’s performance data.
