What criteria are used to evaluate my application to an engineering major at UC San Diego?
All applicants must first meet the UC requirements for freshman admission. Admissions officers then evaluate your application using the Comprehensive Review process, and determine your admission to UC San Diego. Impacted Majors: Applications from students who have been accepted to UC San Diego and applied to one of our five impacted engineering majors are then screened for major decision. Based on the UC San Diego Comprehensive Review, the Jacobs School establishes cutoff scores for each of our impacted majors.
