What criteria are used to designate an application as Spyware or Riskware?
ISS defines Spyware or Riskware as software that has ANY of the following attributes: Presence of analysis and tracking activities; No reasonable means of gaining user consent for the application to be installed and run; Unreasonably high memory, CPU or general resource usage; Application causes the user’s machine to be unstable; Application grouped as Spyware or Riskware within other commercial or industry recognized security organizations.
