What courses can I take at Penn outside the College of Liberal and Professional Studies (LPS) and College of Arts and Sciences (CAS)?
It should be expected that IGSP students will take only LPS and CAS courses during their program of study at Penn. There are limited possible exceptions that are allowed given specific circumstances and conditions. Since IGSP students are accepted as LPS students, all courses taken during the first semester of study are restricted to be within LPS or CAS (no exceptions to this rule). Following a strong academic performance during the first semester of study, LPS will allow IGSP students limited enrollment in courses at other schools in Penn if the student seeks out appropriate options and is able to gain approval by the school(s) offering those courses. Registration rules and permit requirements are at the sole discretion of, and governed by, the schools offering those courses (e.g. Engineering, Wharton, Nursing, etc.).
