What courses are required for all psychology majors?
There are five courses that every psychology major is required to take in order to graduate with a bachelors degree in psychology. Those courses are: 1. General Psychology (100): Introduction to various branches of psychology and the contributions of each to understanding the behavior of people as they interact with their environment. 2. Statistics (241): Descriptive statistics and statistics of inference. The computation, application, and interpretation of various elementary statistics. It is suggested that this be taken right after General Psychology and right before Research Methods 3. Orientation to a Psychology Major (295): Helps develop an awareness of psychology courses, minors, internships, research assistantships, and other opportunities; learn about career options and graduate school selection processes; and explore personal strengths and weaknesses with regard to long term goals. It is suggested that this be taken the first semester of your sophomore year. 4. Research Method
