Through identification and analysis of this behavior the criminal justice professional attempts to define ways to reduce and deter crime. They also review legal policy and process to determine the most effective rehabilitation techniques for criminals. Students pursuing a degree in criminal justice generally have a specific career goal in mind and can chose a program with a course concentration tailored to that goal.The criminal justice major can chose to pursue a degree with a concentration in law enforcement or corrections.
