What counts as an academic course? What is not counted?

0

When we talk about academic courses, we mean the courses your high school offers in traditional academic areas—things like mathematics, foreign language, social sciences, English, science or academic electives. While other courses can be valuable, the curriculum at Clark requires that students prepare by keeping academically focused in high school, which means we are looking for students who maintain at least four academic courses all four years. Less than that, especially in senior year, can call into question your preparedness for the academic program at Clark. As we read applications we make every effort to fairly determine which courses should be considered academic, but if you have any questions about a specific course, you should feel free to contact our office to ask.
