What country was Monopoly first created in?
Monopoly was created at a kitchen table in Germantown, Pennsylvania during the great depression by unemployed engineer Charles Darrow. Darrow was said to have created the game on an oil cloth while dreaming of fame and fortune. In 1934, Darrow presented the game to Parker Brothers but it was turned down as the company felt that as well as having 52 fundamental design errors, it was too complicated and would take too long to play.
