What Country Did Christianity Originate?
Christianity originated in Judea, which at the time of the first Century was a province of Israel under Roman rule. The present day nations of Palestine and Israel contain most of the locations depicted in the Gospels of the New Testament, in and around the city of Jerusalem. Christianity quickly spread outside of Judea to Asia Minor (Present day Turkey), and into Italy and Greece. Many of the locations mentioned in the New Testament book of Acts, and in the Pauline Epistles are in these areas.
