What country did alcohol abuse originate from?
Undoubtedly alcohol abuse goes back to the earliest uses of alcohol, which was long before countries existed. The chances are it originated in Africa or the Middle East, as those were the first areas populated by modern humans. Whether our evolutionary predecessors got loaded on rotten fruit we will never know for sure, but it seems likely as our closest cousins, the apes, do it today.
