What countries truly practise democracy today?
1) Nowhere will you find an *ideal* democracy. And nearly all countries have the view that they are democracies. But we can try to measure where democracy is better realized than elsewhere (how to do this is controversial, though). “Governments not self identified as democratic: Vatican City, Saudi Arabia, Myanmar and Brunei.” >>>> All other governments *self identify* as democratic!!! 2) “Currently, there are 123 countries that are democratic, and the trend is increasing (up from 40 in 1972). As such, it has been speculated that this trend may continue in the future to the point where liberal democratic nation-states become the universal standard form of human society. This prediction forms the core of Francis Fukayama’s “End of History” controversial theory. These theories are criticized by those who fear an evolution of liberal democracies to post-democracy, and other who points out the high number of illiberal democracies.” Source and further information (points 1 and 2): http://en
