What countries have freedom of speech?
Most of the true democratic countries do have freedom of speech. These countries have their public officials – including executive branch, legislative branch, and local officials elected by people. And they have multiple active political parties, and people can vote out current governing party and lead to peaceful change of government. Non-democratic countries, for the purposes of protecting the ruling class and the governing regimes, typically impose limit to what media can say, and what people are allowed to say and know. Some countries have freedom of speech written in their constitution, but in reality, do not allow people to speak against the government. This is not true freedom of speech. The countries such as U.S., France, UK, have freedom of speech.
