What could be financed under “technical assistance”?
A modest part of EFF funding will be put aside for technical assistance either at the initiative of the Member States or that of the Commission. It will support all actions to help the smooth preparation and implementation of EFF programs such as studies, reports as well as information, promotion and networking events.Specific support will be dedicated to most new Member States, with a short experience in managing Community programmes, to strengthen their capacity to administer the Fund.The Commission will also make use of technical assistance money to establish, at Community level, networks of actors involved in the local development of their regions with the purpose of stimulating exchange of experience and best practice among European fisheries regions.
