What could be a cause of bloody stool in my cats?
You didn’t say if they were indoor or outdoor cats, or their ages. But even indoor cats can get worms. The simplest and most obvious is worms, possibly roundworms. I had a surprise infestation with one of my indoor cats, that had been communicated to or picked up by another. I gave all four a treatment just to be on the safe side. The cats in question seemed to be fine, but just a touch off — sitting in the meat loaf position, tummy a little distended (I thought they were putting on winter weight) drinking and peeing just a little more than usual (I thought it was the effects of the dry winter heating), then I noticed some runny blood in one stool. Roundworms are easily communicated through the litter box. As you think more than one cat has bloody stool, my first guess would be worms.
