What costs will be supported under Prosperity Initiative?
Only costs that are reasonable, incremental and relate directly to the eligible activities will be accepted for projects funded. Hospitality costs will not be supported. Claims for reimbursement of eligible project costs will be submitted to FedDev Ontario. Examples of eligible costs include: • Labour and operating expenditures • Materials and supplies; • Consulting and/or professional fees (limited to market rate); • Travel and meeting costs; • Minor capital and non-capital acquisitions (e.g., software); and • Administration (to a maximum of five per cent of eligible and supported costs). Capital costs, excluding land acquisition, will be covered under the Regional Diversification and the Building a Competitive Advantage objectives. The purchase or construction of buildings will generally not be supported, as assets of this nature are able to attract commercial financing.
