The Florida Prepaid College Plan tuition contract covers the registration fee at universities and community colleges which consists of the following categories: • Tuition Fee • Building Fee • Capital Improvement Fee • Financial Aid Fee Local fee contracts cover fees that are imposed on individual state university and community college campuses. These fees are charged in addition to the tuition charged by the state university or community college. Local fees consist of the following five fees: • Activity and Service Fee • Health Fee • Athletic Fee • Student Activity Fee (charged by community colleges only) • Technology Fee (charged by community colleges only and limited to contracts purchased after 7/1/99). Dormitory contracts cover the cost of a double-occupancy, air-conditioned room. Fall and Spring semester dormitory fees are covered.
