You can’t use images, text, or design that you cut from a Web site or any other published source without written authorization. You can’t create a “new” image that incorporates elements from images created by others. And you can’t use a quote or a slogan that is substantially the same as something already written by someone else. Trademark Protection Law: Letters, words, designs, logos, and combinations of these can be trademarks for promoting the sale and distribution of goods and/or services. Trademarks identify and distinguish one seller’s goods and/or services from the goods and/or services of others. The test for infringement is whether your use of a design creates a likelihood of confusion on the part of the public.
