What cool equipment did they bring?
Lots of neat stuff. The Vagabonds rode in Packards, while their retinue used more prosaic Model Ts. Then there was the caravan of Ford trucks. One of the coolest trucks, though, was their mobile kitchen, pictured here: Ford tested bunches of camping tents at Fairlane, his estate in Dearborn, and only took the best ones. Of course, their nine-foot-diameter Lazy Susan, pictured above, was highly-prized camping equipment, although most of us would probably pass on carrying that out into the woods. Edison brought along battery-powered lights for the tents at night.
