What contamination is present on the site?
Contamination on site is mainly in the area of the former stop butt and consists of lead fragments from the site’s previous use as a rifle range. Work will be undertaken in parts of the former rifle range area to remove these lead fragments. Additional works will include the excavation of minor rubbish pits and the collection of surface waste fragments across the site. Studies have not identified any unexploded ordnance on the site.
