What Constitutes a religion or belief?
There is no particular list of religions or beliefs that are included in UK legislation, most major world religions and minority belief systems are recognised implicitly. Religion/belief means any religion, religious belief or similar philosophical belief. This does not include any philosophical or political belief unless it is similar to religious belief. The factors that might be considered indicative of a religion or a belief under the terms of the legislation include: collective worship, clear structure and belief system, or a profound belief affecting way of life, or world view.
