What connectivity options are on offer and which is best?
The old hierachy still applies (best to worst): HDMI => VGA or component (both have pros and cons dependant on your display – see Q2.6) => RGB scart => composite (included in the core pack and really not very good). The Core package ships with the basic composite video lead with phono leads for audio. A SCART adaptor block will be supplied to connect to TVs with SCART sockets although this is not an RGB picture. The Premium package is bundled with the HD AV lead which provides connectors for component video, composite video and stereo audio as well as an optical audio connector. The Elite package includes the same cables as the Premium, as well as an HDMI cable and a short cable that connects to the AV out port to allow both stereo and 5.1 optical out connections.
