What Connection Options are available when trying to host a multiplayer game?
When you choose to play a multiplayer game, you have three options available for connecting to or hosting a game. These options are: • GameSpy: These games are found via queries to gamespy servers. If the host you join is on your LAN, game data will still be passed at LAN speeds. • Direct IP: These games are found by user specification of host addresses. If the host you join is on your LAN, game data will still be passed at LAN speeds. • LAN: These games are found via broadcast packets. The game data is sent at high resolution. Because of this, the game packet size is doubled.
