Try thinking about: Mythology helped to create the Greeks interest in temple building. Temples were a terrific meeting place where person gathered to not just worship but discuss ideas of the day. At temple sites it is known that commoners would not be allowed onto the outer parts temple and there was yet another separation from who was allowed inside the temple. People needed to talk to each other and convince those in classes above them to talk to the priests inside about what they wanted. You can see how that would lead to representative government-like scenarios. More polis planning created the plazas where people gathered and yet again there was separation of people in power vs those not. The planning and architecture of the day had helped to support interactions and allow for government to take on democratic form.
