Enlarged blood cells can be caused by a number of things, including B-12 or folate deficiency, chronic alcohol use, drug toxicity, thyroid or liver disease, chemotherapy and other diseases. Bilirubin may be increased in cold agglutinin disease and any number of hemolytic conditions. You definitely need to see a hematologist with this combination of test results.
