What computing facilities are available for students?
The School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences has a strong emphasis in its programs on the use of appropriate IT skills and resources. Much teaching and learning is supported by various IT packages, both purchased commercially and developed by staff in the school. In addition the university has available general computer pools for student use, some with 24 hour access. Access to facilities such as student email is being enhanced with the new availability of terminals in strategic locations about the university which students frequently visit e.g. library, student union office and Campus Central.
