What competitions can communication practitioners enter to have their employee magazines benchmarked?
We just finished the local level for this year but the Society for Technical Communication has annual competitions. The greatest benefit to the competitors (we hear this from them) is the feedback. It includes compliments and suggestions for improvement. For an employee magazine, it seems as if the first step would be to get input from the employees to see if it is contributing to their career development and from managers to see if the magazine is contributing to corporate goals.
