What comes with each WordPress theme?
Each WordPress theme includes: • Theme Source Code Files (.php) and Stylesheets (.css) These are the main files that make up the WordPress theme, built from the ground up with standards compliant XHTML/CSS and cross-browser tested to ensure compatibility. • Theme Control Panel This is a handy little plugin built right into the theme that lets you tweak some of the theme’s features and behaviors (which will vary from theme to theme). It’s available in the WordPress Dashboard as soon as you activate the theme (under Appearance). • Theme Images (.jpg, .gif, .png) These are the images that make up the theme’s design. You can edit them in pretty much any image editor, including Adobe Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, GIMP, or Paint.NET. • Photoshop Source Files (.psd) Many of our WordPress themes begin life as website templates, all of which are designed in Adobe Photoshop.
