Red (whatever color you have to pure red) and slowly add violet until you reached your desired “blood” color (or colour).

The best way to get blood red is to mix a tiny bity drop of blue into the red. If you think about it…it does make sense since our blood is blue and red. lol. But I think it depends upon your color red and color blue. I personally don’t like crimson because it’s too bright and sometimes sorta pinkish. I’d go with a medium deep red. But I do agree with the other post, violet will work too. Although I don’t think it matters since violet is just red and blue mixed together.
