What colours do Saddlebreds come in?
All colours except Appaloosa exist in the Saddlebred breed. The most common are bay, chestnut (usually a trademark deep red chestnut, sometimes flaxen), palomino and buckskin. Other colours currently available in Australia are black, perlino, cremello and pinto. Dilute and broken colours are long accepted in Saddlebreds and so expected to be of good quality, the same as other more common shades.
