What colours are the elements fire, water, earth, air and aether associated with?
Aether (yes, you spelled it right), called Spirit in some versions, is usually white because all elements come from Aether and Aether combines all elements and white light is the combination of all colors. Make sense? Fire is usually red, but orange is an acceptable alternative. Water is usually blue, but green is an acceptable alternative. For Earth, personal preference determines whether brown or green is dominantly used. Air is usually yellow, but grey is an acceptable alternative. Normally, the feminine principle (or goddess) is represented with silver, and the male principle (or god) is represented with gold. And finally, if you want, the Source (or the unknowable force from which all divinity comes) is represented in with a black candle because black (in light) is the absence of color (and color represents the divine and/or the elements) and the light of the candle represents the spark of creation.
