Yellow was the original. Since Peep Season 1998, Peeps are available in yellow, white, pink, violet, and blue. Blue was added for the 1998 season. Violet first appeared in the 1997 season. In early 2003, Just Born announced three new colors (patterns) of the original Peeps (chicks). These are white with red and blue specks (4th of July), orange (Halloween), and red (Christmas). I have yet to see any of these in stores.
