EL cable is bright enough to be seen from up to 400 feet at night and can be supported by common alkaline cell batteries or the automotive battery in your car, truck or boat depending on the application. You can use it to back-light or accent certain objects such as signs and license plates to achieve a very appealing neon glow. If you Double, or triple the cable, the neon glow is even stronger. An application of white paint (semi-gloss or gloss) or reflective material can be applied to act as a reflective surface to help increase the glow. [There are over 20 matte finish colors and 3 metallic colors available. We recommend using the matte finish vinyl for interior walls. The matte finish gives the true appearance of hand-painting on flat or satin painted walls. The metallic colors work great to add that extra punch to a project. There is also gloss finish vinyl available that you may request for custom lettering projects. Browse our colors page to view the standard choices available. Cerulean White and Snow White are the most popular choices in our enamels. Note: When painting white over white, Cerulean White is most popular because it helps you see where you are painting (it is slightly bluer when it is wet).
Each Shirestone™ countertop is a custom project. The color selection is based on the customer’s preference. With the stone textured appearance of the tops, the more muted earth tones are the most popular choice. The finished look is also affected by your preference for either a satin or a high-gloss appearance or somewhere in between. Different sealers or a combination is used to provide the desired finish.
