What color would go good on my kitchen walls?

I think you are on the right track actually. You want the kitchen to “feel” warm. Look for Tuscany colors–olive green, red orange, gold, light tan and a dash of blue. You could paint one wall red orange as an accent. I think the green would look good next to the oak cabinet and next to the gold tile. Depending on where the bay window is located, I just carry over the paint color from the next wall–so essentially two or three walls one color and two or one walls another color. When you paint with dark colors, you need to prime the walls with a primer for dark colored paint and you will undoubtedly end up painting the walls more than once so it looks good. Talk to your paint store/counter people.
