What color scheme would go right with a dark hunter green wall in a dorm?

Hunter green lends itself well to earthy colors. Cranberry or burgundy go well and provide a nice contrast, especially if you have a “segway” piece – something that includes a few colors in one piece. A solid green wall with a solid burgundy bedspread wouldn’t look as good, for instance, as a solid green wall, a patterned comforter that includes tans, greens and burgundies with solid burgundy accent pillows. If the walls seem too dark, use area rugs, pillows or throws that inlcude tans and lighter greens to lighten things up. Just make sure the lighter greens are still earth tone shades with more yellow undertones than blue. For instance, you might choose some lighter shades of green like sea green, forest green, moss green…maybe even olive green..or some yellows that have green undertones, like yellow-green or pear (see link in source section). Stay away from mint green or those with an aqua or blue undertone…they don’t go as well with hunter green. Try to use some rugs or acessor
