What color highlights would look best with dark brown hair?
It is good to look at your hair closely in good lighting. Then you can see what undertones & highlights you hair has naturally. Getting highlights & low-lights that match what you already have will look the best not only which the rest of your hair, but also with your skin tone. for example if you have natural red highlights (like I do) then copper & caramel highlights will look the best on you. But really get a good hair dresser and then trust them, that is their job, to figure out which colours will look best on your hair and against your skin! Oh and also, if you do not have colour in your hair right now it is probably better to go with streaks (or highlights & low-lights) for several reasons. It is not such a big commitment, they will grow out much nicer, if they are natural looking enough then you can choose whether or not you want to maintian them or simple grow them out.
