What color are the eggs from pastured hens?
Like any eggs, it depends on the breed of the hen and has nothing to do with how they are raised. The difference in eggs from pastured hens and confinement hens comes from their diet. Our hens are open range; there are no pens or fences to confine them. They graze among the cattle and sheep and roost in the eggmobile at night. Fresh well or rain water, oyster shell or grit is available, along with some supplementary non-gmo grain as needed. Their primary diet in the summer is fresh forage and bugs.
