What college math requirements are needed to become a middle school math teacher?
I am not sure if all states are exactly the same. There are 2 certifications Math 7-12 and Math 4-9 with an emphasis on another subject as well in the 4-9 area. If you choose math 7-12, then you basically double major and end of up taking about a math course a semester. If you go to the 4-9 math route there is significantly less amount of work in math but that is because you have to also study another subject as well.
