What college classes are needed to become a geologist?
many geologists earn a masters and/or doctorate degrees. Advanced degrees obviously provide a much higher level of training, usually in a specialty area (paleontology, mineralogy, hydrology or volcanology). These degrees will often qualify a geologist for supervisory positions, research assignments or teaching positions at university level.
