– Lavinia She does not need to major in pre-vet medicine to go to a graduate veterinary college, but she does need to fulfill some intensive math and science course wherever she attends. She could go to a liberal arts college and major in philosophy if she wanted to, but make sure to take the 7 or so science and math courses that vet schools require. Alternately, she could focus on pre-vet programs at places like Cornell or the University of Connecticut and begin her focus at an earlier stage.
