What codecs are supported to play TiVoToGo™ files on my PC?
TiVo Desktop includes the TiVoToGo™ feature, allowing you to transfer TiVo recordings to your PC. Because TiVo recordings are compressed using a format called MPEG-2, your computer needs a compatible MPEG-2 codec to use these files. Depending on how you plan to use TiVoToGo, you may need to purchase software that includes a compatible MPEG-2 decoder. I want to watch my transfers on my PC and convert shows for my iPod, PSP, Treo, or other MPEG-4 compatible device. You need to purchase TiVo Desktop Plus, which includes a set of codecs including an MPEG-2 codec At this time, TiVo Desktop Plus does not support conversion to Microsoft Portable Media Center devices such as Creative Zen Vision or Toshiba Gigabeat. See the section below for compatible MPEG-2 codecs for those devices. *TiVo provides the above third-party links as a convenience and makes no assurances and/or warranties, implied or otherwise, and is not responsible for the download you receive from the linked sites or any support
