What classes should I take in high school to become a criminal psychologist?
You should take advanced maths like algebra/trigonometry/calculus, physics, advanced English/composition/literature , history, chemistry and biology. If it’s possible, take college courses while in high school. Taking college courses in high school will give you a leg up when you get to college and help you get scholarships to pay for school.
There are AP Psychology classes available at some schools. If it’s not available at your school, speak with your guidance counselor about doing an independent study. In fact, take as many AP classes as you can. If you score well on the AP exams, your scores will transfer into college credits, which will speed up the process when you get to higher education. You might also consider finishing your high school diploma at a community college. At many community colleges, you can take classes with give you both high school and college credit at the same time – two birds, one stone!
