What classes should I take if i want to be a glaciologist?

To be a glaciologist, I would recommend intensive study in the following subjects: geography, geology, meteorology, climatology, geomorphology, physics, chemistry, a foreign language (French, perhaps?), mathematics, biology, technical writing, and mountaineering. …and learn how to rock climb like a pro—if you’re not properly roped together/attached to something and you fall into a crevasse, nobody will ever see you again (no kidding). Something like “glaciologist” is a specialization on a more general degree, like “geologist”. So, it’s probably a graduate-school level degree. But, if you do all your undergraduate work (all your papers) about glaciology, it’ll help you a lot when you get to grad school. In the United States, the University of Alaska Fairbanks is probably one of the best places to study glaciers. The Geophysical Institute there is world class, and the glaciers are nearby, too.
