A 8. There are currently only two classes of licence the class B licence which is for VHF/UHF operation only on amateur radio frquencies from 50MHz upwards and may be applied for upon passing of the Radio Amateurs Exam – RAE run by OFTA , and then there is the class A licence which allows operation on all amateur radio frequencies available in Hong Kong on passing the RAE and an additional 12 word per minute morse code test run by OFTA.
