You decide what pain relief you want, who you want at the birth, what you want to happen during the birth, and what position/how you want to give birth. Your choices during the birth itself, presuming it’s in a hospital or midwife centre. Most delivery rooms have a variety of facilities and equipment so you’ll have the option of moving around to find a position that works for you.
