What childish about disney movies ?

In the context of disability – specifically developmental disability – they are considered childish if a person watches Disney animated movies to the exclusion of all others. When I wanted my son to grow into older movies I didn’t discourage him from watching animated Disney movies, but I did discourage him from Thomas the Tank Engine, Winnie the Pooh, etc. I think it is more an issue of balance than there being anything wrong with Disney movies per se.
