A. Childcare that is registered with Ofsted. This may include a childminder, day nursery, nursery school/class, pre-schools or playgroups and Sure Start Children’s Centres. Ofsted registers childcare providers and may inspect them. Staff must have a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check and are deemed ‘suitable’ by Ofsted and the CRB to work with children. Details of all registered childcare providers are available on the Ofsted website.
