What child care facilities are available in Cobar?
Kubby House Child Care Centre is a 29 place long day care centre. We are a community based centre who is overseen by a management committee consisting of volunteer parents. Kubby House follows the ‘Emergent Curriculum’ style of programming. This style allows the children to make their own program by doing the activities that they would like to do rather setting up activities that they think the children would like to do. Working/studying parents, children at risk of harm and Aboriginal children have priority of access to Kubby House. We do also cater for parents wanting respite care. The centre is open from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. 49 weeks per year except public holidays and 3 weeks over at Christmas time. Our centre is made up of 2 rooms. A Toddler Room, which takes children aged between 6 weeks and 3 years, and a Preschool Room which takes children aged between 3 and 5 years of age.
