What checks do the CRB carry out?
For an Enhanced Disclosure the CRB check the applicants details against the Police National Computer to see if they have any convictions , cautions, reprimands or warnings. They will search the ISA Childrens Barred list and/or the ISA Vulnerable Adults Barred List as requested. Lastly the local police force(s) will check their records to see if they hold any other relevant information about the applicant. For a Standard Disclosure, the CRB only check the Police National Computer.
