No one actually practiced witchcraft for the sake of witchcraft, these were only accusations; however Tituba did have her rituals and somewhat ‘voodoo’ tendencies that she would practice. This was later confused by herself (after her imprisonment) to be witchcraft as she wanted to meet with the devil and for him to take her home, “We goin’ to Barbados, soon the Devil gits here with the feathers and the wings”. This ironically references ‘wings’ liken to that of angels, showing that by the final act she does indeed ‘worship’ this devil but her prior practices were not intended as ‘witchcraft’ or worshiping of the devil.
