What characteristics of Asperger Syndrome make a person a good lover?
That is a tricky question to answer since AS governs certain aspects of our personality, but it does not *replace* our personality. I would likely be almost as geeky and socially inept even if I were neurotypical; I just wouldn’t be quite as good at visualization and probably a bit less shy and anxiety-prone. Given the wide range of Aspies I know, there really isn’t anything there that could be attributed to AS except possibly the fact that we tend to be more honest. However, that lack of subterfuge is balanced by the fact that many of us also ave a hard time opening up, even to those that we care about and trust, so it’s kind of a wash. Aside from that, we are pretty ordinary, at least when it comes to romance.
